then tomorrow, feeling like winter. 48 degrees in nevada. it's cold enough for a jacket right now. but 52 in napa and we'll take you to the south bay. a great looking day shaping up. temperatures are going to be right where they should be for this time of year. in addition to the fog which we'll been lackinging for the past kocouple of days. travel cautiously, especially if you're taking the little ones to school this morning. area of low pressure's racing towards the coastline. the changes work out like this for today. 15 to 20 degree drop-off. tomorrow, the second half of the day, the rain and gusty winds arrive. and then snow levels falling to 2500 feet on friday. what's really interesting about this storm system is it's not packing a whole lot of moisture. maybe half an inch, three quarters of an inch of rain in the north bay. not expecting all that much in the south bay. what it is packing is some very cold air. hence the very low snow levels. which is very absurd when you consider the fact we are near records all week long so far. friday into saturday, that's when it's going

and just moments ago, nevada was finally called in favor of president obama. florida was another state mitt romney was counting on going his way. at this hour it is still the only state that is still too close to call. colorado went to president obama. ohio made up what was known as president obama's midwest firewall also went his way. wisconsin was an early call of the night which gave an indication of what direction we were headed. and that captured that. new hampshire, another battleground state also going in the favor of the president once again. another swing state, north carolina which voted for the president back in '08, turned to the republicans this time around. what kind of congress will the president be dealing with? one very similar to the one he has already had over the last two years. democrats will still hold on to control in the senate and pick up a couple of seats. republicans are expected to hold on to the majority in the house. president obama will be returning this afternoon to the white house after a late night for both him and mitt romney

the state of nevada. we're not making that projectioning yet of a winner but we believe it is likely that the president will win that state. anna western certificate in nevada tonight, anna? >> reporter: well, scott, you've seen an influx of hispanics into nevada in recent years, along with other minority group, african-americans and asians. but the latino vote is now roughly 15% of the total. and it's considered critical here. it's also part of the democratic get out the vote campaign here which has resulted in 9 o-- 90,000 more registered democrats than republicans. we just talked to secretary of state ross miller and he expects results will start being released here in the next 20 minutes or so. he said they have had no major problems here. but he said that the influx of hispanicsnd minorities here has made a big difference on the ground here. so we can be watching that as we continue to watch the results come in here. and he says they've had no major problems, no long lines and he expects they should
